Doctors without Borders (Medecins sans Frontières / Ärzte ohne Grenzen) is an independent organisation of doctors who aid those who need it the most: „people affected by conflict, disease outbreaks, natural and human-made disasters, and exclusion from health care in more than 70 countries“.
Doctors offering their help help have to deal with very low resource settings. They need to be highly flexible, skilled, experienced and savvy in other languages.
Doctors without borders have completed over 12 Million consultations so far. What would the world do without this organisation?
